The club rules are separate from the ranch rules. Please read these and abide by them when visiting.

  • In the event of Bay Area Horse Archers renting you a horse, your total bodyweight & equipment weight combined MUST NOT be more than 20% of your horse's weight.

  • Provide proof of equine vaccinations to the ranch owner before bringing your horses.

  • No dogs allowed on or near the track.

  • Small children must be accompanied by an adult at ALL times.

  • No alcohol allowed during shooting hours.

  • Spectators must stay 15 feet away from the track on the opposite side from the targets.

  • Helmets must be worn by participants under 18 years of age.

  • Members need to have club representative’s approval before practice.

  • All shooting stops while collecting arrows.

  • No guns. At all. Anywhere on the property. (I can't believe I have to tell people this...)

  • Please be quiet while archers are shooting from horseback.

  • Participants must sign all waivers and be current Association members.

  • Be respectful of horses. No mistreatment of horses or you will be asked to leave.

  • Please pick up after yourself and help with setup and teardown of targets, track tapes, finding arrows, etc.

  • Only 1 rider on the track at a time, unless riding in a team event.

  • Participants may use any tack with which the rider AND the horse are comfortable. We do not allow bareback pads with stirrups. Bridleless is also fine if the rider has control of their horse.

This is California - expect lots of these! You can also fill them out directly on MA3's website HERE. MA3 will advise us once you have filled them out and joined the association.
