ADAM'S BACKGROUND

PROFESSIONAL ATHLETE

At the school Adam attended in South Africa, all students had compulsory PE five days a week, two hours per day. Soccer, rugby, tennis swimming, field hockey, track and field, and cross country running were all practiced by everyone.

This led Adam to become a stunt performer on films and TV shows. Maintaining balance, strength and stability becomes second nature to someone in thse environments.

EQUESTRIAN

Adam started riding horses and training in martial arts at a very young age and brings his unique background to training students of all ages and abilities in the biomechanics of horse riding.

MIND-BODY TRAINING

Having taught yoga for almost three decades, Adam adds yoga posture based biomechanics training to the mix as well as tai chi to develop balance and sensitivity for horse riding.

Adam's training sessions are a mix of yoga, tai chi, resistance training, and calisthenics. Sessions are held in small groups or privately.

TAI CHI & QIGONG FOR EQUESTRIANS

Using his decades long study of tai chi and qigong, Adam now teaches tai chi and qigong for horse riding. This practice teaches balance, awareness, sensitivity, breath control, and more - all important aspects of becoming a good horseman. Limbic resonance is the term given tot he non-verbal syncing that can happen between horse and humanusing the brain's lymbic system.

This practice enables you to soften your riding style, something striven for by all high level equestrians, thereby creating more connection.

The tai chi principle of "soft overcoming hard" teaches concepts that help all riders of all styles and disciplines to improve.
